As of August 20, 2009, the NYS Parks & Recreation confirmed with Kurt Diehl our new trail will be funded.  However, the proposed spur to Hamlin will not be funded.  The new trail will run north and south on the western side of Monroe County.

Work started on the trail Saturday, October 3.  A bull dozer cleared a lot of brush and stuff.  Report is that the trail is beginning to look good.

In addition, it is looking optimistic for the Canal trail, which will link us to Orleans County trail system.

SCSC has joined the Orleans County Federation of Snowmobile Clubs.  A portion of our new trail will run into Orleans County.  Future funding for this portion of our trail will come through OCFSC.
